Century-old Bed & Breakfast Inn overlooking historic Louisbourg Harbour
Enjoy all the comforts of home as you relax and unwind in the pleasant, cheery atmosphere of our inviting bed and breakfast by the sea. The sound of the seagulls, the smell of the ocean and the sights of the fishing activities just outside your window will make your stay in Louisbourg a true Cape Breton experience!
Just steps from the Louisbourg Playhouse and a two-minute walk to nearby restaurants, the Inn is located on the harbour next to a working fishing wharf. Built in the late 1800s, this charming sea captain’s house was once the home of Captain Thomas Townsend, whose schooner, Florence Abbott, plied the Atlantic waters from Louisbourg to the Caribbean.
Large bay windows in the breakfast room and sitting room, the second-floor guest balcony and most guest rooms look out over the harbour. Each of our beautifully decorated guest rooms offers a queen bed, private ensuite bath, hardwood floors, high ceilings, comfortable, homey furnishings, cable television, free wireless internet access and a small selection of pocket novels. We also offer a spacious third-floor harbourside loft with an amazing view of the entire harbour.
