Experience the awe-inspiring cliffs of beautiful Cape Chignecto, the best off-the-beaten-path destination in Nova Scotia and well known among kayaking enthusiasts for its arches, sea stacks, huge tides and old lava flows that are unparalleled in the Maritimes. 

Catching the high tide, guests paddle on a guided tour to the Three Sisters, the crown jewel in the newly designated Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark. The cliffs show like no other place on earth the fusion and break-up of Pangea. Fault lines, lava flows, a raised beach, a natural amphitheatre, arches and sea stacks create a breath-taking scenery. Add in the highest tides in the world, and a truly amazing experience is awaiting. During our garden-to-table picnic at a former shipbuilding beach, the tide ebbs fast, and on the way back the difference in water level is jaw-dropping. Mi'kmaq legends are abundant here and round off the experience.

Located between Advocate Harbour and Parrsboro, Fox Point Inn overlooks the Bay of Fundy and Cape Split, and provides an ideal atmosphere to relax after the tour. It is nestled in nature and abundant gardens, and only a short walk away from the shore. The building was designed by renowned Nova Scotian architect Keith Graham and served as his home. Keeping with the family lineage of sea captains and shipbuilders of the area, Graham combined two historic buildings by decks in a way that they resemble the bow of a ship. He called his home Sol Na Mara – Glimpse of the Sea. Now a boutique inn, the building won three awards for its excellence in design and restoration. Owners Marion and Scott created five beautiful suites around a generous lobby and dining area in which they serve their amazing food. A scrumptious home-cooked breakfast is included. Available upon request (please give at least 24 hrs notice to ensure they can source everything fresh and locally) is a sea-to-table dinner paired with Tidal Bay wine at the Inn to showcase local hospitality and the amazing people who populate our shore.
